Helen Kennedy is a REALTOR® who knows the highs and lows of the real estate business. Starting as a real estate agent in 1985, she persevered through the tough times in the late 1980s when sales were slow and some adjustable rate mortgages jumped to 18%.
She’s also enjoyed the times when real estate markets were strong. She has been one of the top producers in Taylorville for 35 years, and her success is marked by numerous awards from Illinois Association of REALTORS® for her sales transactions.
Today, Helen continues to pursue excellence in real estate as the Managing Broker of Kennedy Real Estate LLC. For each client, she strives to make the transaction smooth from beginning to the end. While her creative marketing skills, extensive education, and strong work ethic have established her as a knowledgeable REALTOR®, it’s the relationships she’s developed with her clients over the years that have been most important to her success.
Helen belongs to the National Association of REALTORS® and is a Certified Residential Specialist. This is an elite group, as only 4% of realtors have achieved the CRS designation. Helen is also a member of the Graduate Realtors Institute, and a member of the Capital Area Association of Realtors, where she has served on the MIS committee, grievance committee, and ethics committee.
In addition to her leadership in the real estate industry, Helen also contributes her time to many community organizations. She is Past President of the United Way of Christian County and a board member as well. She belongs to the Optimist Club where she has served as President, and she has volunteered on the board of Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Helen fundraises for the YMCA and is a member of Xi Delta Theta, a local sorority.
While she spends a lot of time working, Helen balances her career by enjoying her family and four grandkids and spending time with her close friends and clients. She enjoys golfing and competed in racquetball tournaments for over 20 years. She also enjoys working in the yard.

Jennifer loves helping sellers and buyers come together in a transaction! She has been in the real estate business for 35 years. She started her career in 1983, typing appraisals from home for a local realtor who had just opened his own business. Soon, she was working in the office a couple of days a week, and within a month, had a full-time position as the office manager. In 1987, Jennifer became a licensed REALTOR®.

Julie Lilly has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 2013, specializing in residential home sales in Taylorville and the surrounding communities. Jerri Mazzotti obtained her real estate license in December of 1968 and hit the ground running, quickly becoming the top producer in real estate for many, many years. She has received the Diamond Award for volume in sales and was a past president of a local board of realtors for two years.
Jerri manages to find buyers and sellers wherever she goes. She is an excellent promoter of real estate and gets the job done. She specializes in residential properties, representing buyers and sellers, and also helps clients relocate in other towns and states. Jerri is an excellent networker and has never met a stranger. DuWayne has recently become a licensed Real Estate Broker. He came to the Taylorville community in
1994. He and his wife, Heather, have raised their five children in Taylorville. In the time he has been in
Taylorville he has been involved in the community in many ways. He has coached youth sports
programs at the YMCA including soccer, basketball, and t-ball. He coached baseball and softball in
addition to serving on the Red Bland little league board. In addition to Red Bland he has coached flag
football, TYFL football and travel baseball teams. He has also officiated youth and HS sports of
basketball, baseball, and softball.
He has an associate degree from Lincoln Land Community College, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees
from the University of Illinois in Springfield. He is a licensed educator and school administrator. He has
taught and served as a school administrator for the Illinois Department of Corrections for the past 22
years and continues to do so. DuWayne has substitute taught as well as done homebound teaching for
the Taylorville school district.
DuWayne understands how exciting and stressful buying and selling a home can be and is looking
forward to being a part of that experience for others. He is looking forward to the challenge of assisting
